When's the Best Time for Exterior Painting?
Exterior paint needs the right conditions to cure properly, generally above 10°C and without high humidity or rain in the hours after application.
In the North East, that mostly points to spring through early autumn, roughly April to September, when temperatures are more reliable and there’s a better run of dry days.
That doesn’t mean winter work is off the table entirely. Some exterior paints are formulated for lower temperatures, and short dry spells can still work for smaller jobs.
